AWARD SCHOOL

AWARD School is a 12-week advertising course focused on turning human insights into powerful ideas across media, using black pen-and-paper for concepts.

Brief 1

Title of execution: Heavy metal.

Insight: Getting tough stains out isn’t light work. Scrubbing burnt-on food, grime, and stubborn grease is a full-body battle.

Idea: The toughest stains are heavy metal. Scour Daddy is the drummer, beating dirt off a drum kit made of pots and pans.

Client: Scrub Daddy

Proposition: For the toughest stains.

Deliverable: An outdoor billboard.

Brief 2

Title of execution: Cold-blooded locals.

Insight: Cold is the only thing stopping Australians from getting in the water.

Idea: Warm enough to win over Australia’s cold-blooded locals.

Client: Billabong

Proposition: Australia’s warmest wetsuit.

Deliverable: A print campaign - 3 ads (separate executions but still feel connected to-one-another).

Brief 3

Title of execution: Today's Class Activity.

Insight: Phones quietly take parents away from their kids.

Idea: Children in a classroom draw their parents…one child draws theirs as a phone.

Client: Brick

Proposition: People who wants to spend less time on their phone.

Deliverable: 30-second TVC.

Brief 4

Title of execution: Regrets.

Insight: Everyone has regrets. At least your guilt free sweets don’t have to be one of them.

Idea: Two girls casually unpack increasingly chaotic life regrets like a podcast conversation while calmly eating Funday Fruit Chews the only guilt-free thing in the room.

Client: Funday

Proposition: Guilt-free sweets.

Deliverable: 30-second Audio ad.

Brief 5

Title of execution: Glued Together.

Insight: Fashion emergencies turn strangers into instant besties.

Idea: Clutch Glue invites people to share the outfit mishaps that unexpectedly connected them.

Client: Clutch Glue

Proposition: People who are fashion-conscious.

Deliverable: An idea that lives on any social media platform.

Brief 6

Title of execution: The kids’ cut.

Insight: Kids don’t get hyped by movie ads. They get hyped when they feel part of the fun.

Idea: To launch the Bluey Movie, Bluey hands the campaign over to kids. Real kids redraw the characters, revoice the trailer, and take over billboards, radio and social, turning the official launch into a kid-made campaign built around the trailer drop.

Client: Walt Disney

Proposition: Bluey is coming to the big screen.

Deliverable: A PR idea to help promote the Bluey Movie.

Brief 7

Title of execution: The Raging Beaver.

Insight: Before your period shows up, your mood usually does, and half the stress is not knowing why you suddenly hate your phone, your inbox and everyone breathing near you.

Idea: Raging Beaver tracks your cycle through your phone app, warns you when a mood shift is coming, reminds you to prep for comfort, and gives you one satisfying smack to mute the digital world when your patience is gone.

Client: Modibodi

Proposition: Have a more comfortable period.

Deliverable: One digital idea.

Brief 8

Title of execution: Insure it before boarding.

Insight: The things people worry about most are usually the things they briefly leave sitting in an airport tray.

Idea: NRMA turns airport security trays into reminders to protect the things people would run back through security for. Each tray features a deadpan headline written from the item’s point of view, making laptops, phones, watches and jewellery feel too important to leave unprotected.

Client: NRMA

Proposition: For that special something.

Deliverable: Direct idea with a single CTA.

Brief 9

Title of execution: You can't fake nature.

Insight: Hipcamp calls out fake nature moments and turns them into invitations to camp off the beaten track, with emphasis on execution-led headlines that trigger action.

Idea: When nature becomes something you stream, spray, filter or loop, you stop experiencing it. You start missing the real thing.

Client: Hipcamp

Proposition: Camp off the beaten track.

Deliverable: Intergraded Advertising - One campaign idea with 3 executions.

Brief 10

Title of execution: Basket Case

Insight: Most grocery waste doesn’t start in the bin. It starts in the basket, when shoppers overbuy food they won’t use.

Idea: Basket.Case is a clip-on smart tag for baskets and trolleys that tracks your shop in real time, helping you catch overspending, overbuying and likely food waste before checkout.

How it works:
Clip it on. Connect your phone. Shop as normal.
Basket.Case tracks spend, household size and likely waste, then prompts you when something looks unnecessary or unlikely to be used.

Commercial value for partners and funders: Basket.Case helps tackle cost-of-living pressure and household food waste through a scalable smart-shopping tool that builds trust and creates measurable behaviour change.

Springboard: Up to 20% of groceries bought by Australian households end up in the bin, equivalent to one in five bags of shopping.

Deliverable: Commercial Creativity - Come up with a product, business or entrepreneurial idea.
